AAMISMS/MISU China 2007

  The AAMISMS/MISU China 2007 course was held in both Los Angeles, California, and Shanghai and Beijing, China, March 30 - April 7, 2007.  With over 80 people traveling with the group, it was the largest meeting we have had so far.  The first day was spent at the California Spine Institute viewing surgery, listening to lectures and participating in workshops.  Our Guest Speaker was Dr. Charles Ray.  The evening was topped off with a visit to the Reagan Library and Museum. While in China, the group did extensive touring but also visited two Chinese hospitals and participated in lectures and a multi-disciplinary symposium.  There was an excellent group of physicians and surgeons who gave lectures during the morning sessions in Shanghai.  This was truly a trip of a lifetime because we were able to see Chinese medicine first hand by visiting a traditional medicine and a western medicine hospital. Visiting the famous Great Wall was a definite highlight of the trip!  Even being in such large cities as Shanghai and Beijing was a real eye opener for most of the group. China, with its rich history and architecture spanning several millennium, is a country that one must truly experience in person to appreciate.  This is one trip we shall never forget! Thank you to everyone from around the United States and the world who participated in this unique tour course.
