About MISU
We are
currently working on the next Minimally Invasive Spine Update (MISU) course
for 2009. Complete course information, venue with travel arrangements
and course registration will be posted here on our website as soon as it is
finalized.
We will also send out email announcements. If you are not
on our list and would like to be, please join our email list
here.
In the meantime
we encourage you to check out the rest of the website and to learn more
about our MISU courses.
Our
courses are sponsored by the American College of Physicians
& Surgeons, founded by Dr. Merrill W. Reuter. In general,
the
courses consist of live
surgery, didactic sessions, hands-on workshops, multi-disciplinary symposium
and course syllabus. All
attendees will gain sufficient exposure to
the state of the art procedures in minimally invasive spine care which will improve the
opportunities for their patients.
The MISU
courses are open to all physicians and surgeons who practice spine-related
medicine such as orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, neurologists, physiatrists
and pain management/anesthesiologists. Fellows, Residents and Allied
Health Professionals in these disciplines are also encouraged to attend.
The Minimally Invasive Spine Update courses
have been offered ten times since 1999. Our
last course was the AAMISMS/MISU China 2007 course in
Beijing and Shanghai, China, March 30-April7, 2007.
The course began with live surgery in California.
